How to Share Video
In Groups
There are a few ways to share video in groups. You cans share video that is already saved to your phone or cloud storage. You can also take video and attach it right from with-in the app. You can even link to a YouTube video if you want to share something awesome you saw.
These directions start from with-in a message in a group chat. If you need to know how to get to the following screens, start here.
To add a video to a group message open up a message in the group you want to share the video in. Once there, select the video icon on the bottom of the screen.
You can also attach a video to a message by clicking "video" link under the message box on the home screen of the app.
On the following screen you will have the ability to select a video that is saved on your phone. If you aren't finding it, try selecting the "All media" button.

If you would like to record a video directly into the app and attach it to the message, select the "Camera" button.
To take the video, tap the record button. If you would like to use the front facing camera, tap the arrows on the bottom right of the screen.
When you are done taking the video will be given a chance to accept it or retake it. To accept it tap the check mark. If you would like to retake the video select the arrow on the bottom left of the screen.
Next, tap add on the top right of the screen to add the video to your message.
If you would like to change or replace the video after it is attached select the three dots on the bottom right of the screen and then select the appropriate option.
How to Share YouTube Videos
Found a great YouTube video you think your group would love? You can easily share it in your group posts! When members click the link, it will open the video directly on YouTube, and your post will automatically include a thumbnail instead of just a long link. You can also share Vimeo or Facebook videos using these steps.
Please be mindful when sharing videos and only post content that uplifts and strengthens the body of Christ. Any videos that don’t align with our App Policy or church values will be removed. Thank you for helping us keep this space positive and encouraging!
The first step is to copy the link to the "clipboard" on your phone. We will be using YouTube for this example. The steps to get a link on Facebook and Vimeo are similar to this.
Go to the video you want to share and look for the "share" icon. Tap it and then tap the
"copy link" icon. This will copy the link to the clipboard on your phone.
Once the link is copied, open the OBCF app in Spaces and open a message in the group you want to share the video with. If you need help getting to the following screens please click here. Tap the video icon at the bottom of the screen. Then select the "URL" icon.
You can also get to the previous screens by selecting the "Video" link on the home screen of the app.
Once you have selected the "URL" icon you will be able to attach the link. Paste the link in the URL box. To do this "long press" the box and you should see a little button that says "paste." Tap that button and the link should paste into the URL box. Once it's pasted tap the "Add" button in the top right of the screen.
