How to Update
My Profile
Please make sure to update your profile in the app as soon as possible. All members are required to use their real first name—anonymous accounts are not permitted. Accounts that are not updated with the correct name within 30 days of joining will be removed from the system. While we do our best to send reminders before removal, we cannot guarantee that you will receive one.
Open the app. Once on the home screen tap the "directory" icon on the bottom of the screen.
Start typing your name in the search bar until you see your profile. If you don't see it, try typing the email address you used to create your account. Once you see your profile, tap it.
Tap "edit profile."
On the following screen you will need to change your profile name to your real first name. This is what will show up in chats when you create or comment on posts.
You can update your profile picture by clicking the little camera icon. This is the image that will show up next to your name in the "Directory." Please remember the OBCF App Policy when selecting your profile picture.
Feel free to update your "About Me" section of your profile. This is a great way to tell your brothers and sisters a little about yourself. This is great for conversation starters and getting to know each other for events like "Friday Night Fellowship."
You also have the option to add more info about yourself. This info is automatically set to private. To change it click the appropriate lock icon.
After you select the lock icon, click the "public" option if you want to make the info public.
